Desert Hills IV

About Us:

Who Are We?

Green Valley Desert Hills No. 4, Inc. is one of the premiere areas in Green Valley, Arizona. A quiet age restricted retirement community, designed for active seniors 55 and over, which consists of 224 town homes.

Desert Hills IV is a truly wonderful place to live and play that has nine golf courses, two shopping centers, many places of worship, several medical facilities, dozens of clubs, several volunteer organizations, 12 recreational centers, minutes away from Tucson, and several historic small towns like Tubac, Rio Rico and Nogales, Arizona.

During the 1980s Fairfield Homes, Inc. began to develop our area called Desert Hills. It extends south of Mission Twin Buttes Road to the Canoa Hills Golf Course. More specifically, it is located behind the Green Valley Presbyterian Church on Camino Del Sol. Major streets include Jarrito on the North, Placita Helada and Via Tirol on the South and are bounded by two county roads: Mercado and Retorno de Anza.

Originally, Desert Hills IV was governed by Fairfield's Green Valley Homeowners Association, an association that covered Desert Hills 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5.

It was not until the late 1980s that Desert Hills 4, Inc. became its own entity, currently known as Green Valley Hills No. 4, Inc., which is governed by a seven-member board of directors. It created it bylaws and CC& Rs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, which are the governing documents that dictate how any homeowner association operates and what rules their owners, tenants and guests must follow).

The association holds five meetings a years during the months of October, November, February, March and April. All members are encouraged and are welcome to attend.

The Board of Directors encourage its owners to become involved in their governance by becoming a board member or to get involved in the many committees of the board which include: Maintenance Committee, Beautification Committee, Newsletter, GVCCC Representatives, Neighborhood Watch, Social, Nominating Committee, Auditing Committee, Architectural Committee, CC& Rs, and Website.
